Church History

Hohenfels Baptist Church held it’s first service on the first Sunday of January 2000.  Chartered in April of that year, we held our first Faith Promise Missions Conference one month later, in May, taking on 6 Missionaries for $100.00 each per month. Missions has remained a priority. As of this date we currently support 30 missionaries and 1 mission project. We hold our Faith Promise Missions Conference each May.

Literally hundreds of military people have passed through our church. It was (and is) our pleasure to see God working in their lives. God has allowed us to see many come to a saving knowledge of our Savior; marriages have been put back together; individuals have been encouraged; families have been strengthened; and many have dedicated themselves to following Jesus.

As we have grown, God has opened the doors for us to move 3 times. Our current building, in Hörmannsdorf, has 2 floors. Downstairs you will find our fellowship hall, teen Sunday school class, coffee and fellowship area and separate men’s & ladies restrooms. Upstairs consists of our main auditorium, with a separate room which acts as an overflow room and a place to take children who are not in the nursery. It has a video feed so everyone can enjoy the service. Also upstairs is our “Children’s Wing.” It houses our nursery, private area for nursing mothers, Sunday school classrooms and Children’s Church area. They also have their own restroom. God has truly blessed us with the space and facilities to minister to the whole family.

We believe our “History” is being written every day. Please come and make some history with us. I am confident you will find caring and friendly people who love the Lord and strive to encourage each other. At Hohenfels Baptist Church you will also find a place to call your church home while you are stationed here in the Hohenfels Military Community.
