Where To Go
We know visiting a new place can be somewhat of an awkward feeling, but we want to help you feel as much at home as possible. As you visit, there will be friendly greeters ready to show you where to go. They are there to assist you in getting you to the appropriate nursery, children's class, or service.
What To Expect
First, expect a grace-centered environment. You don't have to have it "all together" in order to fit in. HBC is filled with regular, every day people who have struggles and questions about life. You don't have to worry about being different or being evaluated by others. We are a diverse group of people with commonality in Jesus Christ.
Second, expect a gospel-focused environment. Our focus is the gospel of Jesus Christ and how it changes lives in this culture. In everything we do, our goal is to please Him!
Third, expect a Christ-honoring environment. At HBC, our services are filled with meaningful worship. Our music is inspirational and enjoyable, and the Bible messages are simple, scriptural, and straightforward.
Visitor's Card
When you arrive our greeters will give you a first-time visitor's card. Please fill this out and place it in the offering plate during the service or give it to the pastor. This is simply something to give us a record of your visit and to pray for you by name.
Sunday Services
Sunday School begins at 9:30am and our morning worship service begins at 10:30. The focal point of every service is the teaching and preaching of God's Word. Our pastor intentionally teaches the straightforwardness and face-value of God's Word.
Our 6:00pm service is an entirely different service from our morning worship. It is in the evening service where Pastor Ensley leads the church through specific books of the Bible to help in our Christian walk and application.
Supper and Sermon
Our Thursday service starts with a meal together at 6:00pm, and at 6:30, we have a themed Bible study with an emphasis on life application. We also share our burdens and prayer requests on our digital church prayer bulletin. This is updated every Thursday and sent out via email every Friday. We encourage prayer not only for each other on Thursdays, but also throughout the week. James 5:16 states that "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
