The diversity of our great country is easily seen in the faces of our American Military. Many of these families are constantly on the move and rarely live in one place longer than three years. Because of their diversity and mobility, the military is a very unique mission field with extraordinary potential. Many of those serving in the Military would not consider the Gospel message while living within the comfortable and familiar cultures of America, but when they witness the unconditional and unmovable love of Christ in a place away from home, the gospel seems to stand out just a little bit more. Military ministries, like ours, are privileged to reach these diverse families with the Gospel by demonstrating the constant love of Jesus Christ.
This is where Lisa comes in! She is a missionary sent from Mountain View Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, through World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions. God has called her to work with the military families serving overseas in Hohenfels, Germany as well as the local population. Lisa is a pastor's daughter with a heart for children. She is doctrinally sound and is committed to the local church. She also has a bachelor's degree in education and extensive training in child development. She has been here at Hohenfels Baptist Church since 2004 and simply loves children. Lisa coordinates all of our children’s ministries here at Hohenfels Baptist Church, including Patch the Pirate, Vacation Bible School, and assists the church in a myriad of other ministries.
After much prayer and counsel, God has led Lisa to resign from her secular job and enter full-time ministry. She is currently in the process of raising financial support and we look forward to her full-time service in this ever-changing military ministry! The Bible states that children are a heritage of the Lord; they are also our future church leaders! So, please pray for Lisa and this ministry, and consider supporting her on monthly basis!
